- Do I have to use the Microsoft Word template?
- No, you don't. However, by using the template, you can have SILS-ETD extract your document metadata automatically when you upload your paper.
- If I am submitting my paper from off campus, can I use the Microsoft Word template?
- Unfortunately, no. The Microsoft Word template only works in conjunction with Adobe Acrobat and a special plugin. This plugin is not yet available for students to install on their own computers. The template may still be useful, but SILS-ETD will not be able to extract any metadata from your document.
