Information for Students
Students should follow the graduate school ETD guidelines and departmental specific instructions for preparing and submitting their theses and dissertations. In general, the steps include obtaining a template (Microsoft Word, or other document preparation application) that conforms to the graduate school formatting requirements; preparing your thesis or dissertation; submitting it via the online form to ProQuest (including payment for ETD as well as optional orders); receiving confirmation from the graduate school that your thesis or dissertation has been received and is in the proper format. Once this is done successfully, you are finished and your thesis or dissertation will automatically become available via the digital libraries at ProQuest and UNC.
